Based on the principles of the Jaques-Dalcroze method, the multidisciplinary teaching of the Music and Movement Department of the HEM offers curricula based on the relationship between movement, music and instrumental, vocal and body improvisation.
The main disciplines taught are rhythmics, music theory, instrumental improvisation, instrumental improvisation for movement and teaching, piano, methodology and practical pedagogy. Two workshops are also part of the compulsory curriculum, the pedagogical application workshop and the creative experimentation workshop.

On the occasion of a collaborative project, students and professors of the two courses of the Music and Movement Department of the Geneva University of Music expressed their enthusiasm for this training.
